(Jones/Hendricks) (Level 5) 13 voices, piano, bass and drums. Thad Jones wrote this Jazz/rock composition for the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis big band of Village Vanguard fame. Jon Hendricks has added some fine, meaningful lyrics. In this arrangement, the singers simply replace the big band. There is a wonderful opening tutti theme which is then developed in the various sections (including a virtuosic passage for saxophones) and restated tutti at the end.
