(8 Brass) An intimate, soft-spoken jazz waltz, which features a trombone/flute/guitar trio. This chart exploits a wide dynamic range and uses many contrasting textures. Short solos for guitar and trombone are offset by a Woody Herman-style sax/flugelhorn soli. A highly contrapuntal developmental section features many interesting combinations of instruments while the bass and drums lay out.
