ADAM BARTCZAK, a Denver, CO native, holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in trombone performance and a Masters in Jazz Composition from the New England Conservatory in Boston, where he studied with Bob Brookmeyer. He has performed in a wide range of styles, including classical, jazz, reggae, Afro-Cuban, rock, and hip-hop. Projects include performances, tours and recordings with the Colorado-based jazz/hip-hop group Yo, Flaco!, nominated for an American Music Award in 2002, in addition to a wide variety of music projects, including his own jazz quintet, which has performed at the Telluride Jazz Celebration on three occasions. Adam teaches and performs regularly in the Boston area, in addition to writing and arranging for small and large jazz ensembles and various other projects.
