WEIRD BEARD • BIG BAND CHART comp. Jeff Coffin / arr. Deacon-Joyner, Difficulty Level: IV, Trumpet Range: C#6. Parts Included: full score, 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, organ, bass, drums, guitar.
Weird Beard is one of the more unique pieces from Jeff's catalog. Arranged by David Deacon-Joyner, Weird Beard is a rock/funk/uptempo tune that has some of its influences in Frank Zappa's music and Jeff Coffin's beard! WB is a slightly more difficult piece which has some mixed meter going on in places. A very fun and challenging tune to play! And it gives the players a chance to really rock out!
Weird Beard can be heard on Jeff Coffin's solo recording BLOOM on Ear Up Records.
